Sequence has been retained and is currently seeking a talented Architectural Sales Representative for promotion and marketing of interior specialty and construction building products throughout the San Francisco / Bay Area.
Our client, one of the nation's largest interior space product representatives and distributors, is tasking us very aggressively to find them a capable and diligent individual to develop relationships within the marketplace.
This is a unique position is focused on identifying and developing relationships and becoming a valued, consultative resource to key specifies and users of interior architectural specialty products; the goal being to secure specification of architects and designers with their current and future endeavors.
The position is responsible for calling directly on architects & designers, end users and general contractors. It serves in both a promotions and educating role for marketing of the products as well as their applications, features and potential benefits.
The ideal individual would be familiar with the marketing of products within the architectural, construction and building products or related industries and experienced calling on architects and designers. Though anyone capable with sales and having the right aptitude and ability to represent and development relationships within the community can be trained to take on the role and educated about product line offerings.
The right candidate would have between 3 to 7+ years of sales and relationship development experience. A degree in business, architecture or related field is desired, but hands on experience and abilities will take precedence over classroom education.
Key responsibilities include:
- Presenting product offerings to the architecture and design community through AIA Lunch and Learn, product specific, drop-in visits and other presentations
- Working to develop relationships with architects, designers, specifiers, architectural librarians, general contractors, and end users
- Striving to update architect and designer libraries with product information and samples
- Representing, attending or exhibiting at trade shows or similar events; also participating in professional and trade organizations
- Fielding and managing product inquiries for information or samples
- Acting as a resource and consultative representative to the architectural and design community by assisting with product identification, project design and use/application of products.
- Working hand in hand with sales to identify product promotion, specification and pricing strategies independently and with sales territory personnel.
