An innovative, growing, and trusted Civil engineering and architectural consulting is seeking a Licensed Architect to work on various projects within our Architecture Market. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for developing accurate, complete preliminary and final work drawings and specifications including designing schematic drawings from building program elements, and developing construction details for the project using AutoCAD and/or other relevant software. This position will be based in our Mentor, OH office location.
Desired Skills and Experience
• Professional Degree in Architecture, required
• 2-5 years Architectural Design experience
• Excellent written and oral communications skills to articulate technical concepts.
• Exhibits strong organizational & time management skills to be able to recognize, prioritize, and meet critical deadlines
• Must possess a strong work ethic and be enthusiastic about learning and developing opportunities
• LEED Green Associate or LEED AP preferred
• Requires understanding of AutoCAD with preferred experience in Revit and SketchUP
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develops preliminary layouts and drawings using sketches, field investigation data, and mark-up drawings from architects and designers
• Researches and investigates existing conditions from fieldwork, records, or other sources
• Prepares sketches of wall sections, details to be used in working drawings
• Coordinates with other disciplines to maintain schedule deadlines and still be in project budget.
• Assists in estimating architectural project costs
• Provides extraordinary client care and innovative solutions to cultivate and maintain long term relationships
• Organizes and manages multiple priorities
• Provides existing condition evaluations for Facility condition assessments and publishes reports to clients as required
