Reporting to the General Manager, this role will be “hands-on”, managing all day-to-day activities of the Cattle enterprise which joins up to 2000 Angus females. The role will encompass repairs and maintenance ensuring machinery, stock water, irrigation, and infrastructure are kept in excellent working order.

Key Responsibilities

  • Active leadership of all cattle husbandry tasks
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with farm accreditations
  • Use grazing management tools to help manage rotational grazing program and understand future feed availability
  • Manage supplementary feed budgeting, administer, and report actual to budget
  • Operate, maintain, and repair machinery, fences, and water infrastructure

Skills and Experience

  • Leadership experience in a cattle enterprise
  • Mechanical aptitude, experience with machinery operation
  • General fabrication, engineering, machinery, and building maintenance
  • Pasture management, rotational grazing, feed budgeting, and confinement feeding
  • Record keeping for livestock returns and compiling farm reports
  • Computer literacy, especially with Excel and farm management software


  • Post-Secondary qualifications in Agriculture or Farm Management
  • Farm Chemical User Accreditation
  • First Aid Training
  • Current HC or HR Licence
