Client Advisory Services (Interim Controller/Outsourced Accounting) Manager sought by an Ohio-based regional firm with a growing presence in the Columbus market. Ideal candidate seeks to build a consulting presence working with clients who need their business insights, and appreciates the commitment to always adding value. This role would oversee multiple client engagements, and manage a team of Seniors, Staff and Bookkeepers. The firm offers a very employee-focused approach to building a professional service firm. Experience with the greater Columbus business community very important to success in this role. The client service aspect will focus on outsourced accounting and interim Controller roles. The right candidate will show skills in three areas: coaching and mentoring staff, managing client relationships, and practice development. Promotional opportunities to Senior Manager and Partner available in this role.

The Role of the Client Advisory Services Manager:
  • Providing high-quality, value-added interim-controller services to clients
  • Managing client expectations with exceptional service to a designated book of business
  • Managing multiple ongoing engagements to meet client deadlines, scheduling staff to ensure staff time is properly utilized.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with key client contacts
  • Looking for opportunities to create value, reducing costs and maximizing efficiencies for clients
  • Reviewing work of seniors, staff and bookkeepers for accuracy of accounting and financial reporting
  • Mentoring and coaching staff including seniors, staff and bookkeepers


Background Profile
:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; Master’s degree or continuing coursework a plus
  • CPA or equivalent license
  • 2+ years of managerial or direct supervisory experience
  • 5+ years of qualified work experience in corporate and/or public accounting
  • Proven ability to work both individually and collaboratively within a team setting
  • Process oriented with good organizational skill and ability to handle multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines
  • The desire to service clients from small to medium sized clients while contributing to unique company culture
