Position Overview:
TradeWind Services is seeking a Work Control Planner to support mission-critical operations. This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and executing detailed work packages that ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations within nuclear and high-hazard facilities.
The ideal candidate will bring experience in planning and coordinating maintenance, operations, or modification activities in a regulated environment, with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and procedural compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and/or review comprehensive work packages to support operations, maintenance, and modification activities.
- Prepare detailed time, material, and labor estimates for planned work.
- Author and validate step-by-step work instructions, procedures, and execution strategies.
- Incorporate safety, testing, and regulatory requirements into all work packages.
- Coordinate with engineering, operations, maintenance, and safety organizations to ensure alignment and readiness.
- Identify, track, and resolve work constraints and planning barriers.
- Support planning activities across mechanical, electrical, chemical, and/or radiological systems.
- Ensure all work packages meet applicable DOE and regulatory compliance standards.
- Drive work packages through approval, execution, and final closeout.
- Participate in readiness reviews, pre-job briefings, and post-work critiques as required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, technical discipline, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience supporting work planning, maintenance, or operations in a regulated or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols, work control processes, and procedural compliance.
- Ability to develop clear, concise, and technically accurate documentation.
- Strong coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting DOE or NNSA facilities, particularly within nuclear operations
- Familiarity with work control systems, maintenance management systems (e.g., Maximo, CHAMPS, etc.).
- Knowledge of radiological controls, safety basis, or hazard analysis processes.
Salary and Benefits Information:
Expected Salary Range: $85k - $150k / year (depending on experience)
