Mechanical Engineer - Sustaining

Are you a mechanical engineer who thrives on solving problems, building better products, and making an impact? We’re looking for a Mechanical Engineer II to join a sustaining engineering team focused on continuous improvement, product support, and new product development in a fast-paced, high-mix manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Design and model mechanical parts and assemblies using Creo and Windchill

• Support production by troubleshooting performance, fit, finish, and BOM accuracy issues

• Participate in launching derivative product orders—from spec to shipment

• Review customer requirements and ensure compliance with performance, agency, and fit/function standards

• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, production, and quality teams

• Contribute to new product development efforts, including testing and validation

What You Bring:

• Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering

• Around 5 years of mechanical design experience (HVAC experience preferred)

• Proficiency in 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PLM systems

• Understanding of HVAC system design, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics

• Familiarity with standards (UL, ETL, AHRI, ASHRAE) and regulatory compliance

• Experience with Lean/Six Sigma processes a plus

• FEA, CFD, or other predictive modeling skills are a bonus

A Bit About the Role:

This role blends design engineering with hands-on problem solving and continuous improvement. You’ll spend most of your time in an office and lab setting, with occasional time on the production floor. Expect a collaborative environment where your ideas and input help shape the way products are made and supported.
