Position Overview:
TradeWind is seeking experienced Work Control Planners to support various projects across the US. The selected candidates will be responsible for developing, reviewing, and maintaining detailed work packages that ensure the safe and effective execution of operations, maintenance, and modification activities within the Client’s facility. This role involves preparing step-by-step instructions, estimating time and resources, and ensuring compliance with Client's procedures, safety requirements, and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, review, and approve work packages, ensuring compliance with safety and operational protocols.
- Prepare detailed step-by-step work instructions, incorporating required materials, labor estimates, and safety/testing requirements.
- Identify and resolve work restraints, coordinating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution.
- Ensure work packages align with facility policies and procedures, including mechanical, electrical, chemical, and radiological requirements.
- Support work package implementation by facilitating communication between stakeholders, tracking progress, and making necessary adjustments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure work package closure upon task completion.
- Ensure adherence to all DOE and regulatory requirements for safety and quality.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years in work planning, work control, or related roles within a DOE, DOD, or nuclear facility environment.
- Experience planning work related to mechanical, electrical, chemical, or radiological equipment.
- Strong understanding of DOE/NNSA work control procedures, hazard identification, and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with work planning systems, asset management databases, and scheduling tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interface across multiple disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience at a DOE facility.
- Knowledge of Conduct of Operations, Conduct of Maintenance, and Integrated Safety Management (ISM).
- Active DOE Q Clearance (or ability to obtain).
Salary and Benefits Information:
Expected Salary Range: $135k - $240k / year (depending on experience)
