Seeking highly motivated and experienced full time sales professional to fill the role of Assistant Store Manager at Foot Sensation! - a two store central Toronto chain focused on shoes, orthotics and foot care. Total compensation should range from 40K to 50K comprising salary and bonus. Our retail client is closed evenings and has shorter store hours on Sunday and a fair rotation to ensure a reasonable work schedule and quality of life.

The position is an excellent opportunity for someone who has retail sales management experience, a strong commitment to customer service, and, ideally some health care experience. The latter may be as a nurse, chiropodist, kinesiologist, etc.

The product mix includes a full line of high end quality shoes, compression socks, arch supports, custom orthotics and foot care accessories. The individual sought will be a positive, resourceful and career minded customer service / retail sales professional with a track record of success satisfying customers and building sales.

Our client is looking for someone who is flexible, takes initiative, learns quickly and will assist in terms of managing the store as well as online sales. You are highly organized, dedicated, have a great work ethic and deliver results.

LOCATIONS:

Central Toronto – easily accessible from North York, Scarborough and Etobicoke and the entire City of Toronto. Subway accessible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Initiating conversations with customers.

Assessing customer needs.

Presenting products and solutions that meet customer needs, explaining the features and benefits and suitability of products in a timely fashion.

Closing the sale.

Leading by example and assisting colleagues.

Ordering, organizing, inventory management, merchandising, marketing, loss prevention.

Participating in management of the website and ONLINE WEB STORE

REQUIREMENTS:

Positive, self driven, resourceful individual who genuinely cares about his/her work; that is a flawless work ethic.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of 5 to 10 years experience in a client or patient facing role in a health related field including orthotics, chiropody (chiropodist) / foot care, vision care, home health care, and mobility care products, or, you may be a personal trainer or a pharmacy technician.

You may also have 5 to 10 years of sales experience in a service oriented retail environment.

Excellent English communication skills are a must.

A resourceful team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

A genuine passion for customer service and sales.

Strong organizational skills, quick learner and good with new technologies.

A degree in Kinesiology, Nursing, Chiropody or Pedorthics is a plus.

COMPENSATION:

Compensation will range from the upper thirties to the mid fifties based on annual salary commensurate with experience plus bonus.
