Job Description

We are actively looking for prior military service members who have backgrounds in the Navy Nuclear Fields, Engineman, Gas Turbine, Machinist Mate, Electrician Mates, generator techncians, "prime power", power production, prime power or ielectrical generation / EPG industry experience.

Operate and maintain a power plant or cogeneration plant for the production of electricity.

Perform routine inspections and maintenance of equipment for proper operation and availability. Assist in the start-up, operation and shutdown of mechanical and electrical equipment to meet contract and business plan requirements. Manually operate valves, pumps, dampers, and other equipment as necessary. Perform switching of electrical equipment up to 230 kV. Perform operations to place electrical circuits and generating equipment in and out of service

Responsibilities:
Ensure the plant is operated and maintained according to Company policy and ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state and local regulatory requirements; with a strong focus on health, safety and environmental issues.
- Execute and comply with all safety programs, environmental programs, plant policies and operating procedures.
- Ensure the safety of plant and non-plant personnel. Ensure the protection of the environment and surrounding community.
- Ensure the plant is operated in accordance with regional market / system operator rules and meet all contract requirements as may be applicable to plant operations.
- Monitor, adjust and control all power production, water treatment, and auxiliary equipment to ensure the safe and efficient operation of said equipment. Take corrective actions when required
