Machinist

An outstanding, full-time opening has become available in the Auburn, RI area for a local individual with 3+ years’ experience as a Manual Machinist with a background in metals manufacturing. This position would earn a generous base salary and a loaded benefits package including medical benefits, a 401K w/ matching, Tuition Assistance, PTO and other outstanding perks. The schedule is 4x10; Monday-Thursday with possible OT on Fridays.

All candidates MUST have the following experiences to qualify for consideration

• Please DO NOT APPLY unless you have 3+ years of Manual Machinist experience in a metals/manufacturing environment.

• Experience with Tool Room machinery including 3-axis Mill, Lathe, Surface Grinder, Band Saw, Drill Press, Belt Sander, Jig Grinder, Centerless Grinder etc. is a MUST

• Experience with reading/using measuring devices i.e., Vernier calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gauges, surface gauges, shadowgraphs, tool maker microscopes, drop indicators, etc. is a MUST

• Experience building/repairing tools, dies, components including Goosenecks, pots, couplers, brackets, etc. is a PLUS

• Familiarity working with a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP), monitoring machine and product quality and work within tight tolerances of +/- .0005 is a MUST.
