The Operations Supervisor provides operation management and support at assigned facility location to ensure efficient and timely pick-up and delivery handling of customer materials and shipments. Ensures compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies.
Responsibilities of the Logistics Supervisor:
Lead, educate and develop company employees
Provide education and monitor the overall work performance by being accessible to all areas of the dock
Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers' freight is delivered and picked-up timely and damage free
Monitor and analyze all opportunities to cut costs and improve efficiencies
Complete scheduled reporting requirements timely and accurately
Perform administrative functions such as printing delivery receipts, manifest shipments on a trailer, trace shipments, etc.
Provide clean and safe working condition of the facility and equipment
Monitor staff performance and conduct timely performance reviews
Communicate with Operations Manager to ensure customers' and company's needs are met
Identify freight moving at incorrect weight and classification and implement corrective actions
Enforcement of company policy
Work with the operations manager to develop short and long-term business plans for the operations facility.
Work with operations manager to perform audits of security related performance and conducts physical security surveys for assigned site, including security equipment condition and assists in investigations.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the operations manager.
Act as company representative, performing off-site servicing duties for clients as required.
Requirements of the Logistics Supervisor:
Bachelor´s degree preferred; prior work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation and logistics
Minimum 3 years supervisory experience required
Excellent oral and written communications skills
Knowledge of rules and regulations related to commercial drivers
Project and time management skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external business partners, customers, and suppliers
Ability to operate a forklift - certification required
Proficient in MS Office
Customer service oriented
Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds; beyond 75 pounds with the proper equipment and/or assistance of others
Must be proficient in Business English (able to speak, read, and write)

Salary: $19,000 - 20,000 MXN Monthly
