Product Development Engineer

The Product Development Engineer will report to the Vice President of Engineering and will be responsible for all aspects of product design and development of water source fan coils and heat pumps. Projects will include: new products, model extensions, warranty reductions, cost improvements, quality improvements, sound reductions, supplier qualifications, and packaging. In this role, the Product Development Engineer will:

1. Manage projects from concept to production.
2. Be responsible for agency submittals, file management, and audits for safety listings and performance certifications.
3. Develop and manage product bills of materials.
4. Design and develop refrigeration, air flow, and controls systems.
5. Measure and mitigate sound and vibration.
6. Work with suppliers to develop and/or specify system components.
7. Provide direction to Product Designers for sheet metal and piping CAD models.
8. Provide direction to the Engineering Lab for prototype builds and performance testing.
9. Provide Engineering documentation including drawings, product specifications, and technical data to production, sales, and technical services.
10. Provide Engineering support to production, sales, and technical services.
