CNC Programmer

The company is a leading manufacturer and supplier based in Oceanside, CA of premium products to the automotive aftermarket industry such as catalytic converters, performance exhaust and replacement exhaust. Through the Camburg division in Huntington Beach, CA. They also supply race-inspired performance suspension products and vehicle uplifting services.

What you will be doing:

As an experienced machinist you will be working with mold, die, consumable tooling and troubleshooting complex problems. You must be able to work with complex tooling and die project, working from initial prototype to final product. You must be able to use manual machines as well as CNC driven equipment. CNC programming and set-up experience is required. Being familiar with Mori Seiki and Fanuc control is desired.

  • Developing a machining and/or inspection process methodology or reviews requested methodology for operational feasibility and completeness
  • Developing tool, probe, or measuring machine paths utilizing tool axis control for multi-axis operations including validity of selected cutting tools and/or probes to perform the requested operation
  • Performing verification of part programs to ensure resultant data will produce or inspect product to quality requirements including fitment to OEM manufactured parts
  • Performing Software Quality Assurance (SQA) steps including the creation of a documentation folder for each CNC program and participates in the validation of CNC programs in manufacturing areas
  • Participating in CNC equipment procurement through development of a test plan and test programs to determine acceptability of the proposed equipment's control unit
  • Developing programming manuals and instructs other analysts on equipment or programming methodologies including use of tool axis control techniques
  • Performing project administration and related leadership duties, which include project status reporting, preparing project documentation, user/vendor liaison, planning and scheduling, and assisting in budgeting and procuring CNC related equipment
  • Performing detailed evaluation of new, revised, or proposed support software
  • Defining, develops, and improves machining processes and identifies and resolves CNC manufacturing problems
  • Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures sanitation regulations

What you need:

  • CAD Programming for Mill and Lathe experience required
  • Ability to read blue prints and utilize measuring instruments
  • Develop setup sheets and tooling info for production parts
  • Ability to create and improve tooling and fixtures for production parts
  • 10+ years machining experience
  • 5 years of program experience preferably in MasterCam, SolidWorks experience a plus
