What is Order Management at EXPRESS?


Responsible for supporting omni-channel initiatives including integration of the order management system with e-Commerce, store, merchandising, customer, warehouse management, and other systems as required. Also responsible for configuration of OMS workflows, OMS technical and production support, and development of business processes in support of omni-channel.

What you will do:

  • Experience in Configuration and Customization of Order Management Systems.
  • Experience in creating technical design documents for Order Management Systems.
  • Experience and understanding of in Production support and performance engineering.
  • Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment and has client interfacing skills.
  • Proficient in tools like Eclipse IDE.
  • Experience in SQL and usage of either Oracle Database or DB2
  • Basic/intermediate Unix/Shell Scripting
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodology and tools like JIRA, SVN - GitHub/Bitbucket
  • Basic/intermediate programming knowledge
  • Work with cross functional business and technical teams to identify requirements and translate into technical solutions.
  • Communicate incident status through resolution
  • Participate in post mortem analysis

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor´s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of course work, training, and job experience
  • Order Management System experience as developer or administrator
  • 1 – 2 years Java development experience in a complex IT environment
  • 1 – 2 years system and application integration experience
  • 1- 2 years of experience in Supply Chain or retail
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written)
  • Participate in 24/7 on-call rotation: on-call 1 week every 4 weeks
  • Remote work

Nice to haves:

  • Hands-On Java Programming
  • Data delivery mechanisms using FTP, AS2, HTTPS, REST, Webservices, and Queues
  • 4 – 6 years of experience with e-commerce as developer or administrator
  • Knowledge of JMS development
  • Knowledge of XSLT development
  • Knowledge of XML schema and namespaces
  • Knowledge of JBoss, WebSphere, or WebLogic as a developer or administrator
  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, or AIX
  • Knowledge of how to develop SOAP or REST web services
  • Knowledge of WebMethods or another ESS
  • Knowledge of ActiveMQ, WebSphereMQ, or another JMS broker
  • Knowledge of Web Application Development
