This senior field leadership role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with a proven ability to manage large-scale projects, lead on-site teams, and deliver complex developments in fast-paced urban and suburban environments. The selected candidate will be entrusted with directing on-site construction operations for a portfolio of high-value projects, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and successful project outcomes from groundbreaking through closeout. 

Key Responsibilities 

As Lead Superintendent, you will assume full responsibility for day-to-day on-site construction activities across multiple multi-family projects, typically ranging from $10 million to $50 million in value. You will provide field leadership from rough grading through final completion and turnover, coordinating all trades and subcontractors to maintain productivity, safety, and quality standards. Responsibilities include managing construction schedules, supervising subcontractors and field personnel, reviewing and responding to RFIs, processing change orders, overseeing submittals, and coordinating materials procurement and site logistics. 

You will conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with contract documents, building codes, and safety requirements, while working closely with project managers, design teams, inspectors, and ownership representatives. Your role will also involve resolving field issues proactively, maintaining accurate daily reports, enforcing site-specific safety plans, and supporting successful inspections and project closeout activities for both new construction and complex redevelopment projects. 

Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of construction management experience, including at least 5 years leading multi-family and/or senior living construction projects. Candidates should demonstrate a strong command of field operations, subcontractor coordination, schedule control, and quality assurance. A Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management is preferred, though equivalent industry experience will be considered. 

Strong leadership presence, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams are essential. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project scheduling software, and construction management platforms is highly desirable. Candidates must be capable of managing complex construction environments while maintaining accountability for safety, schedule, and performance.
