Under the direction of the Senior Director of Care Reliability of the Northeast Region, provides maintenance and support of a variety of data systems to support clinical and operation initiatives. The Midas System Administrator will assist in the development of strategies, projects and goals to utilize technology in innovative ways, improving efficiency. Acts as liaison with corporate entities, as well as internal departments, and provides support with projects such as Core Measures, Leapfrog, NHSN, and other performance improvement projects.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains and supports Midas+ products such as Care Management, Seeker, Statit and Datavision
Acts as Midas+ Functional and Technical System Manager with responsibilities for:
User Training
Maintaining system integrity and security
Implementing modules
Reporting
Custom user support
Monitoring message queues and processors
Troubleshooting technical problems
Coordinate system change / upgrade requests
Coordinates data requirements for hospital quality initiatives and provides technical expertise for all hospitals in the New England Region.
Provides data and analysis for evolving requirements for internal and external reporting to entities such as The Joint Commission, CMS, MA Department of Public Health, Institute for Healthcare Improvement, the Leapfrog Group and other regulatory agencies and programs.
Interprets, analyzes, presents and distributes various data results to a variety of clinical and administrative staff.
Maintains current knowledge regarding changes in the hospital and department’s data systems and methodologies.
Educates, informs, and consults with customers and peers to effectively determine system needs and resolve problems.
Acts as the primary liaison between the user community, application vendors and to other IS resources.
Participates in system design sessions
Consults with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives, as well as develop reports, profiles and dashboards
Maintains documentation to describe development, logic, corrections and manuals for users to describe operating procedures
Has knowledge of patient care environment and in-depth knowledge of hospital processes
Qualifications
:
OTHER JOB KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s degree in statistics, business, or health administration required (Master’s preferred).
2. Minimum of 5 years related experience in healthcare.
3. Must possess strong communication, analytical and problem solving skills.
4. PC knowledge and experience to include: database management and statistical analysis.
5. Experience with Microsoft Office and Midas+ products required.
