The primary purpose of the Area Sales Director is to achieve their overall revenue goal. In order to achieve this goal, the Area Sales Director must create a complete territory business plan that generates at least 5x their quota in pipeline opportunity. The Area Sales Director is responsible for identifying and qualifying opportunities, developing and driving sales strategies.

The Area Sales Director will develop an opportunity plan containing the value proposition for all of our clients supply chain management solutions and services to customers & prospects in that territory. It is expected that the Area Sales Director be adept at creating and nurturing executive relationships on their own while positioning our client’s executive team.

As an Area Sales Director, you are responsible for managing our client’s largest and most strategic customers as well as a portfolio of top percentile new business target accounts.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Works to attain various sales objectives related to securing new business opportunities within named customers (pipeline generation objectives, customer engagement events such as QBR’s, Executive Meetings etc.)

 Advances and closes sales opportunities identified in the assigned territory by leveraging our client’s best practice framework

 Arranges internal account review meetings with Professional Services, CSM’s and other parties to assess customer retention and plan adoption activities

Attend regional tradeshows/conferences/events as needed

Maintains an accurate and up to date risk register to provide early warning to leadership of any customer accounts that are at risk of not renewing their subscription

Meet and exceed annual recurring revenue targets


Prospects within the assigned territory and generates sales opportunities into to maintain at least 5x their annual quota in pipeline opportunity


Updates and maintains an accurate database of contacts, accounts and opportunities within our internal CRM system
