Description:
The Director of Sales identifies, pursues and owns critical executive relationships with Named Global Pharmaceutical, Bio-technology, and medical device firms. He/she drives new opportunities through developing new relationships and leveraging existing relationships and would be responsible for solution & service sales and accountable for their successful delivery within the Life Sciences market. This is a hunter role and reports to the Global Head of Sales and Marketing.

Job Specifics:

Drive sales in target accounts across the clinical, regulatory, and safety verticals in Life Sciences

Enter new target accounts by building relationships with relevant decision makers and influencers

Develop thorough sales strategy and action plans; prioritize solutions and customers, and actions to take

frequently prepare and update action plans

Effectively communicate verbally and through presentations, using all available tools and analysis to give

clear and compelling messages

Drive negotiation of deals; apply and flexibly react to negotiating tactics even in tough situations

Must thrive in uncertain situations, be successful in rapidly changing environments

Account planning – Develop granular account plans to achieve annual & longer-term revenue and pipeline

targets; clearly outline all milestones, provide timely update on progress across each and frequently update

plan in line with change in requirements

Meet key performance indicators for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives

Develop and maintain a trusted advisor relationship with key decision makers and influencers in the account at

all relevant hierarchy levels, by bringing fresh insights and anticipating existing and future needs

Manage relationships and delivery during contracts; engage frequently with senior stakeholders, quickly and

competently resolve problems by tackling root causes, and invest in preventing future problems

Effectively communicate verbally and through presentations, using all available tools and analysis to give

clear and compelling messages

Manage multiple projects whilst paying attention to detail

Utilize CRM software and MS Office

The Ideal Candidate:

8-10 years in life sciences sales (understanding of and ability to build, enhance offerings across clinical,

regulatory, and safety products and services a plus)

Prior experience in rapidly growing account revenue and pipeline, handling accounts with annual revenue of

$10-15 mn

Strong relationships with decision-makers in large and mid-sized pharmacos (e.g., Head of Regulatory, Head

of R&D), proven track record of ability to elevate relationships to the CxO level

Personal profile must be entrepreneurial, both customer-facing (proactively working with customers on their

needs), and internal (picking up and driving to best practices for self and team)

MBA/MS preferred

Graduation in medical related field a plus
