Job Description:

Our organization is a leading retailer and eCommerce distributor. We are looking for a skilled Industrial Engineer to join our growing company. Our IEs are skilled in automated material handling systems design and implementation and leading Continuous Improvement initiatives. This is a highly visible position that can lead to a variety of opportunities within the organization.

Job Specifics:

Analyzes Distribution Center methods and operations, develops improvement plans, and recommends and/or implements changes

Engineering the design, development, implementation, troubleshooting, training and ongoing maintenance of DC operational methods, procedures and training

Daily DC operations management support for all labor, methods and WMS related issues

Oversee the design, develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures and training methods for DC associates.

Investigate, identify, design, recommend and implement improvements to logistics, material handling and information systems to improve operating processes, service levels and efficiency within the DC.

Responsible for assembling data defining current facility operational capacities for all divisions

Responsible for data acquisition and analysis of company long range sales plan and correlation to existing facility operational capacities to create a holistic view of anticipated growth and existing infrastructure capacities

Perform other classic industrial engineering duties in support of operations or engineering projects

Ensures DC facility-level compliance with key company standards of safety, facility maintenance, postings/notifications and other administrative duties as identified and/or as directed

The Ideal Candidate:

BS Industrial Engineering (preferred), Packaging Engineering and Mechanical Engineering

3-6+ years I.E. experience, preferably in a Retail Distribution or Direct to Consumer environments

Labor Standards Development experience

Lead Engineer experience on large capital projects

Excellent qualitative and quantitative math skills including statistics

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Visio, Powerpoint, and Word

Proficiency in Autocad

Ability to work flexible hours, overtime and weekends as needed

Ability to travel as needed
