Our Client: Is an international name to reckon with in their specific industry. The business is looking for an HR professional to join the senior leadership team in Dubai.
Your role : The role requires a strategic business partner, leading the development and standardization and implementation of Human Resources initiatives, organizational development to ensure bench of highly potential talent . The position provides technical expertise and advice to senior management on identifying and solving HR related issues
Directs the development, implementation and coordination of policies and programmes for the region. Provide HR contribution to the Business Strategy Plan and annual plan for the business through the development and implementation of relevant HR strategies, plans and policies. Contribute to the company’s ability to attract, retain and motivate talented, engaged and committed employees by recommending sound and equitable performance and reward systems and competitive total C&B, policies. Support the design and implementation of change management strategies and processes which deliver organization development objectives, skills development.
You should have had multiple country experience and managed a large work force and should have managed the senior leadership team as well. The regional scope of the job defines the varying degrees of complexities of each business within the GCC region so your leadership skills and maturity would be put to the test. Must have: Along with your academic and experience of at least 15+ years you need to possess the following qualities
- You've got a "Mac" of a mind ….meaning you can synthesize loads of information into meaningful strategies
- You're a Card Salesman … i.e. assertive and persistent as a salesman.
- A comfort with Confrontation… i.e. the ability to lead in the face of adversity.
- Hands on leadership.. i.e. the ability to lead as well as execute
- A "Croc" skin .. i.e. the ability to deal with the good & bad, Crisis & recognition in your stride…. above all not afraid to fail.
The reason for these qualities is simple...the business need is such that a safe pair of hands would not be ideal for the business, an HR professional who has worked at the helm of a large business( we are talking about a Billion Dollar plus ), matrix environment and most importantly has driven change in previous employment and is competent to advice the CEO on strategic initiatives needed to keep the organization agile, is mature enough to bring up to speed certain areas which have been static .
