Job Title Procurement Director
Location Jeddah
Job Type Full-Time Regular
Job Description Our Client: A leading food manufacturing company in the region.

Your Role: What you need to bring to the table is experience of 20+ years in a blue chip consumer goods organization. A "thought leader" you should be able to work across a big department and substantial budgets to drive transformation and bring in the best global practices. As Procurement Director you will support the leadership team and manage the wider procurement function in the design and delivery of long term commodity strategies to ensure a reduction in total acquisition costs, whilst designing a flexible, yet robust supply base, minimizing risk and increasing quality. Interact internally (with Commodity, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, etc) and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence policy making bodies. You will also lead in the delivery of key projects across the procurement department, the supplier base and the wider business and lead and develop the procurement department to achieve “best in class status.” Ensure the execution of standards, controls, policies, procedures and performance metrics to effectively and efficiently manage the acquisition and reporting of third-party spend across the company.

Must Have: 20+ years of quality experience in food or beverage industry with specific exposure direct & indirect procurement. Should currently be leading a large team. Strong knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concepts. Preference for candidates with prior experience in Saudi Arabia.

Managing Expectations: At Mindfield we are driven by mutually agreed KPIs and service levels. Exceptional results can only be delivered when we understand both our key stakeholders clients and candidates. Keeping this in mind we would request that when applying for a role do take cognizance of the “must haves” to avoid disappointment. Sometimes positions take time to close and there could be delay in us responding to you but as a thumb rule if you do not hear from us in 7-8 working days post applying for the role then the resume has not been shortlisted and would be kept on the database for other roles.

Look forward to a long term relationship…Mindfield…making a difference
