A high-growth medical technology company is expanding its commercial team and adding a Market Research professional. This highly profitable organization has operations in over 100 countries and is adding new digital technology in the fields of cardiology and diabetes. They exceeded revenue expectations by 10% last year and are projected to grow more than that in 2020, so they are adding select positions in their commercial organization. Responsibilities:
The Manager / Senior Manager of Market Research and Analytics will plan and execute primary and secondary research projects for product launch support and inline lifecycle management. This is a mix of qualitative and quantitative work where you will prioritize business questions that need answers, set budgets, manage vendors, analyze results, and present and defend recommendations on a routine basis. This is a broadly defined Business Insights assignment where you will support marketing, business development, and finance teams to assess commercial opportunities for new technology and marketing campaigns for existing products. In addition to market research with healthcare professionals, you will also plan and implement projects in the consumer channel.

This high-profile assignment will require strong organizational skills to manage research suppliers on cost, timing, appropriateness of research methodology, and actionability of conclusions. You will also work routinely with prescription audits and claims data from third party vendors to help inform forecasts and business cases. You will establish metrics for the evaluation of marketing program effectiveness and be responsible for monitoring competitive activity. This is a long-term strategic planning role that will have direct impact on the success of this high-growth organization, and the high visibility of the position means there are significant opportunities for career development.

Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
• 4+ years of market research and analytics in the biotech, pharmaceutical or medical technology industry, working either for a manufacturer OR for a management consultancy.
• Strong technical and presentation skills, and experience managing market research vendors
• The ability to defend and gain internal support for business recommendations
• Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent preferred

An attractive compensation package for this position includes a competitive base salary, annual bonus based on company and individual performance, and restricted stock units.

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area; financial assistance for relocation support is provided.
