A highly capitalized, start-up Medical Device company in the SF Bay Area is developing disruptive technology in the Neuroscience space and building out their marketing organization. They successfully commercialized an innovative diagnostic device this year and are now expanding into two new therapeutic areas. FierceMedTech named them as one of its “Fierce 15” Med Tech Companies of 2018, and their technology has been shown to dramatically improve hospitalized patient outcomes and reduce costs. The Opportunity:
Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Group Marketing Manager will lead development for a new product portfolio in the EEG space. You’ll own new product development, product positioning, go-to-market strategy and lead the launch for an innovative platform that will compete in the EEG space. As a key part of a very small marketing organization you will be responsible for a broad range of duties, including building business cases, gathering VoC, making go/no go recommendations, developing clinical and market entry strategies and competitive/market intelligence.

You will also work closely with Key Opinion Leaders in the Neuroscience community to develop them as advocates for the new technology, plan and implement Advisory Boards. You will serve as the commercial leader on cross-functional teams with colleagues from product development, sales, finance, regulatory, operations and medical affairs. This is a broadly defined assignment that will also include budgeting, forecasting and extensive analytics, so we need someone who is comfortable “wearing many hats.” Their rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement and you’ll build a small team as you move forward in the role. Overnight travel is estimated at 35%.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will have the following qualities:
• 5+ years of marketing experience in the Medical Technology industry, including specific experience in the Hospital market
• Experience launching an innovative, disruptive product
• Experience in upstream marketing and new product devleopment
• The desire to work in a fast-paced environment without the extended teams of large, multinational organizations
• A Bachelor’s Degree or better is required; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred

A generous compensation plan includes base salary plus incentive, a generous pre-IPO equity package, and comprehensive benefits.

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area; financial assistance is available for relocation support.
