A high-growth, specialty pharmaceutical company is expanding rapidly as they prepare for multiple product launches in 2020 and is now adding a Director of Pricing & Contracting to their commercial team. Now publicly traded, this dynamic organization has three breakthrough drugs in Phase III development and is poised for an extended period of expansion. They develop first-in-class therapies for unmet medical conditions in the Women’s Health and Oncology markets. The Opportunity
The Director will develop and execute the strategy and commercial launch for a franchise of therapies used to treat inflammatory conditions associated with women’s health as well as prostate cancer for men’s health. We need the Director to build the P&C function and deliver the list price, contracting strategy, contract analytics, deal modeling, and government price reporting. This is a highly collaborative role that will work cross functionally with colleagues in Account Management, Contracting, HEOR, Government Affairs / Policy, and the field-based reimbursement team to ensure favorable coverage across the payer landscape. You will be a crucial member of a team of market access professionals responsible for developing strategies that optimize coverage.

The Director will also provide input to the Market Access National Account team for the purposes of improving and/or gaining positive formulary positioning. The Director will hire, train and lead a small team of pricing and contracting professionals. Working in a matrixed environment you will present and defend actionable recommendations to senior management on a routine basis and provide Gross-to-Net input to brand strategy and tactical development. The rapidly expanding nature of the organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement.

Qualifications
• 10+ years progressive responsibility across key biopharmaceutical commercial functions such as finance, commercial operations, market access and/or analytics.
• 7+ years of Pricing & Contracting in the Biotech or Pharmaceutical industry including product launch experience
• Specific experience working in specialty markets with products distributed through specialty pharmacies or hospitals. Oncology experience preferred.
• Leadership experience and experience managing external government P&C vendors.
• Bachelor's degree or better; MBA or MPH preferred

This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area; limited financial assistance will be available for relocation support.
