We are currently seeking an experienced Fiber Splicer Technician for a 6–12-month Contract to Hire opportunity in Denver, CO.

Pay Range: $32 - $38/hr on w2

Responsibilities:

• Prep OSP fiber optic cables into splice enclosures.
• Splicing on construction or restoration for a variety of cable types including ribbon, loose tube, micro and OPGW.
• Testing Fiber Characterization including CD, PMD, OTDR, IOLM and Power Loss.
• Assist Network Operation Center for final acceptance and testing of all newly installed equipment.
• Advanced analysis and troubleshooting of issues.

Qualifications:

• Strong telecom equipment installation, testing, and initial turn-up experience.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings and providing as-built drawings to engineering.
• Strong knowledge of electronics, electricity, fiber optics, and transmission turn-up and test procedures.
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., bend/crouch regularly, extensive walking, etc.
• Must be able to work outside in all-weather environments and terrain on a regular basis.
• Degree, technical training, or certification in Fiber Optics
