A start-up Biotech in the Digital Health space has raised over $2B since 2016 and is preparing to commercialize their first product. This dynamic organization operates in the Genomics market and is developing first-in-class diagnostic tests that screen for over 20 different types of cancer while the disease is still in very early stages of development. Privately held and venture backed, they have developed proprietary software that generates a terabyte of data for every test that is run.

This is the intersection of Precision Medicine and Big Data, and they are now building out their initial marketing team to support the launch of their first blood test. They have an exciting work environment where their teams have unusually strong personal chemistry. Responsibilities:
The Director of Marketing will be responsible for strategic planning and execution of marketing programs for Integrated Delivery Networks, particularly large health systems with advanced cancer research centers. The target audience consists of practicing Oncologists, procurement departments, CFO’s and select self-insured employers. As part of the launch plan for the first test you will be responsible for market segmentation within the IDN community, product positioning, branding messaging, and sales support. You will develop the Value Proposition for use of these innovative tests that detect and identify multiple deadly cancer types early in their progression.

The Director will build relationships with leaders at some of the highest profile cancer treatment networks in the world, all of whom are eager to get access to this breakthrough technology. You will monitor the evolving landscape among large Health Systems and serve as the Voice of Customer in representing the needs of key stakeholders in IDN’s, GPO’s and other large delivery groups, including clinicians, IT leaders, and C-suite executives. You will collaborate closely with colleagues in Account Management, Market Access, and Clinical Development and other Marketing groups to ensure consistency in programming. You will present and defend recommendations to senior management on a routine basis. The rapidly expanding organization means there are significant opportunities for career development and advancement.

Qualifications:
• 10+ years of marketing experience in the Digital Health, Biotech or Pharmaceutical industries
• 5+ year of marketing specifically to large Health Systems, including Integrated Delivery Networks, Group Purchasing Organizations, or self-insured employer groups
• Demonstrated expertise in developing value propositions for large buying groups, and a strong understanding of stakeholder roles and exiting network of contacts in health systems
• Bachelor’s degree or better; MBA or equivalent preferred
• A strong desire to work in the small, fast paced environment of a highly capitalized start-up

The compensation plan includes an industry-leading base salary, annual bonus, and an attractive pre-IPO equity package. This position will be based in the San Francisco Bay area; financial assistance will be provided for relocation support.
