Job Title: Risk Management Services (RSM) Consultant, Penetration Tester

Location: Mountain Lakes, NJ

Compensation: $115K-135K Base plus Bonus

Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent Experience

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Execute penetration testing assessments and vulnerability assessments to include network penetration testing, web application penetration testing, Radio Frequency (RF) and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), Bluetooth, Zigbee and mobile device penetration testing.

Execute testing and assessments with your background in the following Information Security domains: Cyber Architecture, Endpoint Protection, Network Security, Infrastructure Security, Application Security, Database and Platform Security, Identity and Access Management, Policy and Governance, Cloud Security, RFID, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Encryption, Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Scanning and Management, and Compliance and Risk Management.

Determine attack method types and their usage in targeted attacks such as phishing, malware implantation, perimeter vulnerabilities, application vulnerabilities and lateral movement.

Develop vulnerability reports with detailed findings descriptions, test case reproduction steps and prioritized recommendations.

Present the results of penetration tests to client partners, including senior or executive leadership.

Communicate the results and recommendations for improvements effectively with customer staff in structured and unstructured situations.

Implement penetration-testing processes, utilizing tools and technologies, following standard methodologies.


A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline coupled with 8+ years’ experience in cybersecurity penetration or red-team activity; OR a minimum of a high school diploma coupled with 10 + years’ experience in cybersecurity penetration or red-teaming activity.

A minimum of 4+ years’ recent experience (within last 6 years) in penetration testing or red-teaming activities.

Commitment to learning with an aptitude for quickly grasping new technologies, issues, topics and advances in the cyber security field. This includes a commitment to adapting to new technologies and security controls on the fly.

Expertise in cyber threat landscapes, including Advanced Persistent Threats, Cyber Crime and Hacktivism. This includes expertise in the tactics, techniques and procedures applied to a cyber-threat.

Specialized skills in operating systems and enterprise platforms such as Windows, Linux/Unix, Mac OS, iOS, Android, Active Directory, .Net framework, and Checkpoint products.

Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to successfully interact with clients

Certified in cyber security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GCIA, OSCP and OSCE is a plus

Experience with typical scripting and programming languages such as PowerShell, Python, VBA, JavaScript, C++ and SQL
