A market leading global Medical Device company is developing disruptive technology in the diagnostic and monitoring spaces and adding new marketing professionals to their global marketing team. The company just successfully introduced a highly anticipated breakthrough product with another high-profile launch to come soon as well as ongoing commercially successful products. Their products diagnose and treat cardiac arrhythmias, providing patients and health care professionals with valuable real-time data that uses AI algorithms to accurately diagnose patient conditions.

The Opportunity
The Strategic Marketing Manager will own the vision and strategy for a high-revenue product portfolio. The future for these products includes product improvements to serve unmet patient needs and new disease states beyond cardiology. This role will evaluate the future of these products, make recommendations, and interact regularly with senior leadership. There is a strong digital health element as you consider wearables and AI-driven product possibilities for future development.

In this role you will establish product strategy, new product development direction and drive new product development. You will identify customer and market unmet needs, develop product concepts, develop claims and own long-range portfolio management. You will segment the market, develop user needs profiles, create forecasts and use qualitative and quantitative data to make recommendations, you will develop differentiated products and positioning within a competitive marketplace.

The main focus of the role is understanding the modelling, epidemiology and unmet needs for the space, so you can come from the med device, pharma or clinical diagnostics space. This is an ideal role for someone who has been working in a strategic planning role or in management consulting.

Due to the high-profile nature of the work, you will routinely present and defend recommendations to the executive leadership team. You will also work closely with the upstream and downstream marketing teams, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory and other internal stakeholders. You will also build and manage relationships with external vendors and consultants. The position reports directly to the Director of Global Marketing, so has high visibility and strong career development possibilities.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in medical device/biopharma/clinical diagnostics
  • Experience with strategic work, including modelling, forecasting and defining user needs
  • A Bachelor’s Degree or better is required; as is an MBA or similar advanced degree
This position will be based in the Los Angeles, CA, or Austin, TX, area. A generous relocation package is available. The base salary is $104,000 - $208,000.

A highly competitive base salary is provided, along with a yearly cash bonus, long term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
