To view a short video about this role: Click Here A small, high-growth drug company is developing first-in-class therapies for oncology, metabolic and neurology and is expanding their strategic team. They are publicly traded and profitable and have tripled in size in the past five years. Their revenues have grown from $20M to $400M and their market cap has surpassed $2.5B. They’re developing additional assets in oncology, NASH and neurology. They are now building out their strategic planning and analytics team and adding a Sr. Director of Market Planning & Pipeline Strategy in a high-profile role reporting into the c-suite. Oncology drugs are a part of their portfolio, but oncology experience is not required, so a rare chance to step into the space. Responsibilities: The Senior Director will lead a small team of analytics professionals responsible for pipeline planning and portfolio strategy for a franchise of products used in multiple therapeutic areas including oncology, metabolic and psychiatric. The primary focus for the group will be assessing pre-commercial treatments for individual program and the overall portfolio. Duties include market research, forecasting, market modelling, competitive intelligence and business case development. You will work closely with product development teams to provide commercial input in the portfolio planning process, combing medical literature in various disease states and therapeutic areas to assess market potential and build valuation models. This is a heavily quantitative assignment that will require expertise with long-term forecasting based on epidemiological data You will work closely with colleagues in clinical development to prioritize indications for assets in Phase I and II development. Other duties include competitive intelligence, medical conference attendance, and earnings call support. This is a broadly defined assignment where your team will provide due diligence for all new product planning activities for the company. You will monitor clinical trends, work closely with downstream colleagues in launch planning/marketing and partner with cross-functional team members in medical affairs, regulatory, finance and market access. A key element to success in the role will be to present and defend recommendations, and to gain support for those recommendations among key stakeholders including routine c-suite interaction.
