Senior Electrical Estimator

Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com) is seeking a talented Senior Electrical Estimator to provide estimation process leadership, utilizing cutting-edge software and expertise to develop accurate estimates for commercial and industrial projects throughout Northern California.

The ideal candidate would have 8+ years of experience and possess an in-depth understanding of electrical / systems estimating, including software, procedures, and forms. You must have the capacity to comprehensively review proposal specifications, drawings, and participate in pre-bid meetings to determine project scope and estimate requirements, as well as, develop detailed and timely estimates for electrical systems, encompassing all costs, general conditions, overhead, and profit. This includes

• Conducting quantity take-offs for Electrical materials on plan/spec and design-build projects.
• Collaborating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintaining an organized files of bid documents, project estimates, notes, and assumptions. Perform electrical system layouts when project documents are incomplete.
• Defining productivity requirements tailored to each project's uniqueness. Develop conceptual budget estimates based on system narratives and sketches.
• Reporting daily information and communications to the Electrical Estimating Manager.
• Undertaking any additional duties needed to maintain meticulous records associated with each project and store them in the estimate folder/software.

The Senior Electrical Estimator will assume responsibility for overseeing the estimating process across various project delivery methods, including plan/spec, design-assist, and design-build. Utilizing their skill set in structuring estimates and configuring models to align seamlessly with project RFP language and cost components related to all construction trades. You will be the main point of contact through the preconstruction stages in interfacing with vendors, clients, field personnel, and team members.

Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering or related discipline. Previous experience as an electrical trainee, apprentice, or journeyman is a plus, and field experience is highly advantageous. Must have in-depth comprehension of the National Electric Code and California Electric Code.
