Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Materials Planner in the Pasadena TX area.

This is a full time direct hire position with benefits

Duties:

• Responsible for planning raw materials and packaging supplies to ensure that the resources required to make products are in stock and available.
• Must work directly with the Production Department to understand the Production schedule and forecast appropriately to keep the plant stocked with materials.
• Responsible for the inventory management of final product and raw materials, including inventory reports, usage reports, costing reports, and month end reconciliations.
• Responsible for maintaining relationships with suppliers to understand how to best improve the delivery of raw materials to reduce costs associated with freight and inventory carry.
• Responsible for preparing all outbound shipments to the warehouses and customers and ensuring on time deliveries.
• Responsible for negotiating all inbound and outbound freight rates and warehouse costs.
• Responsible for calculating and filing all ethanol Tax and Trade Bureau reporting. Responsible for reviewing all logistics activities and finding new and inventive ways to reduce inventory and freight, while maintaining the best service for both our plant and our customers.Plan and schedule all raw material and packaging supplies based on the production schedule, inventory on hand, and
  storage capacity.
• Schedule all deliveries to utilize the labor efficiently, reducing OT when available.
• Enter raw material receipts and final product into the purchasing and inventory systems.
• Enter purchase orders and set up new parts in purchasing system.
• Verify all raw materials are billed correctly based on set pricing and any accessorial charges are appropriate.
• Schedule and prepare all Final Product shipments, arrange the carrier and work with the production schedule to avoid overtime.
• Maintain both a Raw Material and Final Product inventory report, updating daily.

Requirements:

• 1-2 years+ Supply chain experience is required
• Inventory control and freight management experience is required
• Purchasing experience is a plus
• SAP experience is a plus
• MS office experience is required
