Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Electrical / Electro-Mechanical Design Engineer in the Savannah, GA area
This is a 6-12 month contract role.
Overview:
Will be working to further develop a prototype into a finished product. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles and the ability to analyze and improve the design of the prototype. This project requires expertise in electrical circuit design, component selection, PCB, PCBA and troubleshooting.
The successful candidate will work to develop the prototype to meet the design requirements for a first production batch. This is a medium-sized project with a duration of 6 months to a year.
Qualifications:
•AA Degree or equivalent work experience in related discipline, plus 3 years of related experience
•Computer use experience (Office 365, Excel)
•Mechanical or Electrical ability / experience
•Previous experience with testing, documentation, and calibration
•Experience with Electrical or Electromechanical systems involving troubleshooting or assembly
•Electrical experience and laser fiber and console testing experience
•Previous experience with Laser equipment a nice to have
Responsibilities:
•Develop concepts and accordingly construct prototypes/products from concepts
•Utilize basic mechanical drawing or CAD software to document prototypes and fixtures
•Explore and propose creative solutions based on solid rationales and contribute to design and process concepts
•Organize, coordinate, and execute building and testing of prototypes/products per engineering instructions
•Assist project teams in establishing specifications and quality standards
•Act as a resource to other employees
•Communicate project status to project teams
