Job Description
- Scope of Services
The TCS requires the professional service of one (1) Technical Writer on a full-time basis (billed hourly at an average of 37.5 hours/week) to support the TCS Digital Evolution Project. To support the project, the resource will create, manage, and maintain content, process documentation, and metadata frameworks within the TCS Digital Experience Platform, which includes Adobe AEM, DAM, Adobe Analytics, Microsoft Insights, and the Marketing Platform.
More specifically, the resource will:
- Produce technical documentation, set authoring standards, and produce and maintain training materials to support departmental staff using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Microsoft platforms.
- Develop and maintain bilingual content, metadata frameworks and publishing workflows, and tagging standards to support digital publishing, analytics, and Digital Asset Management (DAM) system.
- Ensure consistency across systems by documenting data flows, reporting processes, and integration touchpoints between AEM and Microsoft solutions.
- Create, edit, and standardize digital content, collaborate with developers, designers, and analysts to produce accurate and accessible documentation, and support content performance analysis and optimization through Adobe Analytics insights.
- Contribute to the development of guidance materials for content migration, tagging, and campaign coordination.
- Resource Requirements
The Contractor is required to perform the duties as described in item 4. Scope of Services and item 6. Tasks and Activities.
The Senior Technical Writer must have:
- Experience creating and managing digital content for enterprise-level web systems.
- Proven expertise in authoring and structuring content in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems.
- Experience writing and maintaining process documentation for Microsoft Insights, Dynamics 365, or similar CRM analytics tools.
- Experience documenting workflows for marketing automation or customer engagement platforms (e.g., Microsoft Insights Marketing Platform, Adobe Campaign).
- Strong understanding of Government of Canada Web Standards, Canada.ca Style Guide, plain language, and WCAG 2.1 accessibility.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, developers, data analysts, and communications specialists).
