POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client located in the Schaumburg, IL area (Northwest of Chicago), is looking for a Web Developer. This is a rare opening with very stable organization with an exceptional leadership team who values learning and growth. This is primarily a remote position without a set number of days each week required onsite. This person will only be required onsite at the Schaumburg or Chicago Loop locations when the work itself cannot be done remotely, so local candidates (current Illinois residents) are strongly preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and continuously improve a digital experience built from a user-focused web design and development process, enterprise-wide.
  • Collaborate and serve as the primary liaison to other teams and departments within the organization regarding production changes.
  • Create technical designs, develop, test, and implement front-end website and app changes based on new projects or requests.
  • Utilize Optimizely (HTML, JavaScript, and CSS) and similar software to visually display web pages.
  • Maintain documentation for website and apps, including all technical details and change processes as they arise from projects or requests.
  • Coordinate with other teams as needed, communicate Digital Strategy to for alignment, and proactively communicate digital changes to all departments impacted.
  • Utilize and align to the organization’s digital asset management system for photography, illustrations, and web ads.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years performing web design and development in a team environment, and supporting web technologies with stakeholders
  • Advanced level development experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • Experience with Optimizely or similar software applications

Preferred (but not required) skills:

  • Graphic design
  • UI/UX, user experience design experience
  • iPhone/Android app development
