Accounting Associate
Position Summary: Working under the direction of the Accounting Manager as a skilled Accounting Clerk to perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping and financial tasks. A successful Accounting Clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a aptitude for numbers and ultimately ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide general accounting and clerical support in the accounting department
• Accounts Payable
• Accounts Receivable
• Assist in payroll processing
• Process other business transactions like disbursements, expense reimbursements, etc.
• Accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
• Research, track, and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Enter key data of financial transactions in the accounting system
• Inform management and compile reports/summaries
• Assist Accounting Manager in the preparation of financial statements
* Provide assistance and support to company personnel and owners including answering phone calls and mailing & banking errands, etc.
• Function in accordance with established standards, procedures, and applicable laws
• Various administrative services deemed necessary.
Requirements:
• Proven accounting experience
* Demonstrate a strong attention to detail along with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and discover potential risks for our company
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
• Competency in primarily Microsoft Excel, Word, and QuickBooks
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Ability to work with a team at all levels of the company and external associates
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
• Accounting business degree required
• Minimum of 1-2 years experience
