Job Description

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Electrical Engineer in the Orlando, FL area.

This is a full-time direct position.
Out client is a Tier One supplier of Instrument and Electrical Control Systems to global companies in the Power Generation and the Oil and Gas industries.

Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering or related Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college
  • 3 years of prior relevant experience – Design of skidded equipment is a plus
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office
  • Proficiency with Siemens NX is a plus
  • Knowledge of industrial-grade electrical components, including switchgear, controlgear, motor
    controllers, drives, power supplies, programmable controllers, push buttons, relays, timers
  • Experience with generating wiring diagrams, control panel layouts, Bills of Materials, SAMA logic
    diagrams, electrical installation diagrams, and testing procedures based on customer
    specifications, P&IDs, and General Arrangement drawings
  • Experience with 600V and below power and control circuit design, including sizing circuit
    protection and wiring and developing control logic
  • Experience with PLC ladder logic and HMI design, particularly with Allen Bradley, Siemens, and
    GE components
  • Knowledge of UL and NEC standards generally, but specifically UL508A, NFPA70, and FM
    standards related to industrial control panel design, electrical installations, fire systems,
    communications, heat tracing, and hazardous environments
  • Knowledge of industrial-grade process components, including valves, transmitters, switches,
    pumps, motors, and heaters is a plus
  • Knowledge of IEC and ATEX standards is a plus
  • PE license is a plus

Responsibilities & Duties:
  • Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the candidate will be expected to take responsibility for technical
    decisions related to the electrical portion of the product design with minimal supervision, which includes
    documenting design decisions throughout developments, responding to the needs of clients and vendors,
    and supporting the Projects and Manufacturing teams as needed.
  • Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, and systems. Onsite work
    may be required on occasion (≤15%).
