Webuild (www.webuildstaffing.com ) is seeking a Civil Engineer / Assistant Project Manager to assist senior design engineers in performing design engineering and construction activities for one of the west coast’s leading precast concrete panel engineering, fabrication and construction firms nationally; constructing commercial structures that include high rise, commercial office, warehouse, parking and industrial / municipal facilities.
The ideal individual we are seeking would have a minimum of 2+ years of experience working as a civil engineer with a concentrated focus on concrete infrastructure, precast panels, foundations and structural steel design engineering. Must have the capabilities to assist project teams through all stages of development from engineering design (conceptual / final), permitting, fabrication and construction oversight on multiple ongoing projects throughout the western United States.
Candidates should have the abilities to review site plans, conditional zoning, assisting in the development of engineering designs / sizing metrics for (steel reinforced and concrete panels) and work as part of a team to finalize the design / plan sets for projects. Candidates must have knowledge of contract review techniques, project scheduling, budgeting, vendors coordination, document control (RFI, change orders, submittals) and abilities to process / ensure compliance of ASCE and AISC building codes. Utilization of AutoCAD in daily activities will be required.
As this is a project level opportunity, the chosen candidate will additionally be responsible for working with manufacturing teams in the production of structural/concrete components, precast scheduling, budgeting and working with field teams in preparing sites, rigging / crane diagrams and coordinating shipping activities for each project.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering and/or related discipline. Registration as a EIT desired, but not required. Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD and related engineering software’s. Must have excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Candidates that have previous concrete precast panel and/or related engineering experience with projects heavy in concrete, concrete foundations encouraged to apply.
