Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Civil Transportation Engineer in the Houston TX area with a fast growing client with locations throughout Texas.

The Civil Transportation Engineer is responsible for design, development of Roadway Design and Transportation projects. Produce calculations, products, and plans supporting Roadway and Highway design projects as part of a team. Work on transportation engineering tasks using programs and procedures meeting TxDOT and other governmental agency requirements.

General Responsibilities:

• Design roadway facilities to TxDOT standards including schematic preparation and development of Plans, Specifications, and Estimates (PS&E)
• Conduct design of roadway features, drawings, specifications, reports, and estimates
• Production of roadway plans including plan and profile sheets, traffic control plans, removal plans, utility conflict sheets, retaining wall layouts, drainage, signing and marking, cross sections, bridge layouts, and other design sheets
• Supervise, train, and mentor junior members of team
• Coordinate work with other disciplines such as structures, hydraulics, traffic, etc.
• Prepare proposals and participate in interviews for design pursuits
• Handle routine contract administration and maintain project schedule and budget
• Other assigned duties as required

Required Education/Licenses:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, Civil Engineering
• Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas
• TxDOT precertification preferred
• PE is Required

Required Minimum Experience:

• 6-12 years+ combined experience in the design and management of transportation projects
• Strong communication skills and solid technical base
• MicroStation and GEOPAK experience highly desirable
