Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Senior Application Engineer in the Orlando, FL area.

This is a full-time direct position.
Our client is a Tier One supplier of Instrument and Electrical Control Systems to global companies in the Power Generation and the Oil and Gas industries.

Requirements:

• Demonstrable experience in a technical role related to design, technical support, field service or sales application engineering.
• 7-10 years of Applications Engineering or Engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering discipline.
• Able to understand and capture CTQ and support strategy development.
• Strong knowledge of overall products and capabilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to translate market findings into new product/enhancement ideas.
• Extensive ability to investigate product capability extension including potential for design changes, upgrades and improvements which may be driven by (but not limited to) cost reduction, HSE issue resolution or new product implementation requirements (and market drivers).
• Ability to lead and/or support Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Proficient computer skills in Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Communicates information effectively through both formal and informal means (i.e. verbal, written, and presentation) ensuring they are appropriate for the audience.
• Experience as a team leader or leading people is a plus.
• Experience with technical and commercial RFQs.
• Experience managing and redirecting multiple priorities.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Evaluate customer RFQs, develop technical solutions, provide technical scope validation and create technical proposals to support our Sales team.
• As part of the Commercial/Sales team, to ensure visibility and mitigation of technical risks and provide technical input to product/scope standardization within our designated product lines.
• This role will report to the Facility Operation Director.
