Data Architect

POSITION OVERVIEW: Our client is looking for a Data Architect who can work remotely. This company is a leader in transportation technology and is growing. This person will be a senior leader and have in-depth knowledge of data warehouse design and development. The right candidate must have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze, design, and deliver efficient data engineering practices
- Improve data pipelines, ETL processes, queries, lambda functions, analytics tools, and other data processes
- Continually improve the state-of-practice of data engineering
- Work closely on data quality projects
- Work closely with security team to safeguard and secure data
- Lead the design of architectures for data engineering and cloud database administration processes
- Troubleshoot issues for customers
- Incident resolution and root cause analysis on critical outage

REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree is required
- Advanced experience with database management systems, system design, and operating systems software
- Working knowledge of data modeling
- Experience with Snowflake is a must
- Understanding of Statistical and Machine Learning
- Data warehousing theory and concepts understanding
- Azure, AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes experience
- Experience with many of the following: SSRS or Domo, SSMS, Dbeaver, MySQL Workbench, Powershell, Bash, Python and Linux
