Our government client is seeking a Special Advisor to join their team on a remote basis in Ottawa, ON. To be considered for this position, you will need 8 years of experience in data management and strategic advisory services. Keep on reading to learn more.

About you
To be considered, you will need:

• A completed bachelor’s degree from an accredited Canadian university.
• 8+ years in leading and implementing data management projects, applying industry best practices and streamlining processes.
• Significant experience (minimum 8 years in the last 10) providing strategic advisory services and briefings to senior management on data architecture and data management solutions.
• Experience (minimum 3 years) in at least 1 project for a large organization (more than 500 employees) leading the implementation of Enterprise Data Warehouse and Master Data Management solutions.
• Experience (minimum 5 years in the last 15) across at least 2 projects with horizontal and multi-stakeholder governance processes.

About the role
If hired, you will:

• Review and provide commentary/guidance and advice on strategic data strategy documents as required.
• Participate in meetings and provide subject matter expertise advice to the BDM Data Architecture and BDM executives.
• Provide expert advice to establish quality standards and processes to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide subject matter expertise and advice to the Data Architecture Lead.
• Review Data Architecture deliverables for completeness.
• Participate in internal briefing sessions to support the Data Architecture lead.
• Mentor and coach project team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and project management, and apply relevant knowledge to enhance project outcomes.
