About you
To be considered, you will need:

• 5+ years in leading or participating in the review of programs or internal services, including the implementation of funding, realignment, or cost reduction strategies.
• 5+ years of experience within the last 8 years at the senior financial specialist level in federal government departments providing advice to Senior Government Officials (ADM or higher) on corporate and resource management strategies.
• 5+ years of experience in the last 8 years at the senior level in the federal government.
• Copies of the education credentials and certifications must be provided with the bid submission.

About the role
If hired, you will:

• Establish work plan activities aligned with Business Line and Commissioner priorities for the next 12-18 months.
• Work with other DGs and Directors within the Branch to coordinate and deliver on key files.
• Provide client management with written advice by working with Directors on Financial Strategies (including cost reduction), Estimates, Internal and External Reporting, and TB Submissions (cabinet documents).
• Provide hands-on oversight and expert review of materials and related financial governance and processes to ensure that documents for Senior Boards (such as Senior Executive Committee, Management Committee, Investment Oversight and Prioritization Committee, and others) are properly prepared and submitted to the CFO.
• Provide direct support and expert advice to the CFO and her staff in removing barriers that impede file advancement or program delivery.
• Provide expert advice on core corporate functions such as financial management, resource management, and planning.
